Ten Pound Toons represents the work of Portland animator Mike A. Smith, maker of the short films Flight (2015), Cooped (2014), Missionary (2005), Hominid (2004), and Lithos (2002), among other projects. |
|
Mike first began animating as a kid in rural New York with a borrowed Super 8 camera and some plasticine. Since then he has moved some tons of dirt for archaeology, thrown away a lot of bad drawings, and made several short films. From 2009 to 2011, Mike served as president of ASIFA Portland, the Pacific Northwest chapter of the international animation society. |
